The Santa Cruz County heroes breakfast committee would like to recognize the following Heroes awards recipients:
Lifetime Achievement Hero: John Bruno Tripodi
Eleanor Wasson Lifetime Volunteer Award: Mas and Marcia Hashimoto
Law Enforcement Hero: John Milroy Habermehl, III
Education Hero: Larry Dewell
Youth Hero: Claire Castle Cerruti
Workplace Hero: Joe Hernandez
Good Samaritan Heroes: Richard and Jon Dallimonti
Rescue Professional Heroes: Dan Kline, Cody Muhly, Matt Mulvihill and Brandon Yamasaki
Military Hero: James Franks
Animal Rescue Heroes: Al and Lynn Frischmann
Medical Heroes: The Kramer-Urner Family
All nominees must work or reside in Santa Cruz, although the heroic acts may have occurred elsewhere. The heroic act must have occurred within 12 months prior to the nomination deadline.
Heroes award recipients will be selected by a committee of community leaders and notified by phone. Heroes are selected based on the degree to which their acts of heroism uphold the values of the American Red Cross and leave a lasting positive impact on the residents of the Bay Area.
